Publicity is great, but not for its own sake
We’re delighted with the publicity the iQ Prize has generated. However, not for its own sake. Rather for getting the message out on what we think is a very worthwhile endeavour.
And here’s what we’ve spotted so far:
- The Irish Independent likened the iQ prize to Dragon’s Den. Don’t worry our external judges won’t be that scary.
- Marie Boran from Silicon Republic was quick to print with her coverage.
- Emmet Ryan from ENN dropped in and did a great video interview with Morgan
- Barry over at Irish Dev kindly reiterated our small contribution to jump-start business in Ireland
- Adrian Weckler praised the prize’s directness and unambiguity on his blog and in the Sunday Business Post
- Niall Harbison applauds our organic publicity
- Gordon Smith from the Irish Times interviewed Morgan
- And RTE dropped in and put us on the late night news. My my, doesn’t iQ Towers look well!
- Lastly, Morgan was interviewed over on Today FM’s Sunday Business Show.
What about the blogosphere?
We’re delighted with the response from the blogging community too. Here’s a snippet from some of them:
- Competition Time from Geary Behavioural Economics from UCD
- Free money! say the IIA
- Niall Devitt says Wow! about the 10,000 euro iQ Prize
- iQ Prize - €10000 for a great idea up on Digital Circle
- Free Money This Way Please! Thanks Maryrose, but it’s not free - you have to give us 5 pages
- Web 2 Ireland announced the prize
- Paul M Watson got in there quick announcing our site going live
- We made Damien Mulley’s Fluffy Links
- Jason Roe mentions the Dans le merde announcement from FOWA
Thank you
We want to say thank you. Thank you to everyone who has published or pimped the iQ Prize. Thank you to everyone who has submitted their entries to the prize and to those who are about to.
