Who can apply?
The iQ Prize will go to the best business plan for an internet start-up.
Anyone or any company can apply as long as they are based permanently in Ireland.
Open to (practically) everyone…..
Great business ideas can come from anywhere. So the iQ Prize is open to practically everyone.
We don’t care who you are, what you work at, what age you are, or what you do in your spare time.
We don’t care what stage of development your idea’s at. It can already be developed, or it can be a good idea ripe for development.
Just two conditions
We’re not fussy, we want to encourage as many entries as possible, and we want to keep barriers to entry low.
We have just two conditions:
- Our prize will go to the best business plan for an internet start-up
- Applicants need to be based on the island of Ireland
Internet start-up?
We define “internet start-up” pretty loosely: basically, any business that derives the majority of its revenues from the internet, such as
- A web application that offers novel and useful functionality to online customers
- An e-commerce website that sells stuff in a novel and worthwhile way
- A content website that provides compelling content in a novel and profitable way
- An online twist on a traditional business that exploits the web in an innovative and fresh way
